Domestic and International Arbitration

Public Procurement & Government Transactions

What We Offer

1

International Commercial Arbitration

We act as counsel in complex cross-border disputes across sectors including oil and gas, energy, M&A, and infrastructure. Our team is comfortable navigating multi-jurisdictional facts, governing law questions, and arbitral rules from major institutions, ensuring our clients receive sophisticated representation in disputes of global significance.

2

Domestic Arbitration

We represent clients in domestic arbitration proceedings arising from commercial, construction, and government contract disputes. With an understanding of the local arbitral landscape and regulatory environment, we position clients effectively whether they are claimants or respondents.

3

Arbitrator Services

Our Principal Partner is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and has served as Sole Arbitrator in disputes spanning construction, infrastructure, energy, and commercial matters. Parties seeking a neutral with both legal depth and sector expertise regularly appoint him to resolve their disputes.

4

Pre-Dispute Structuring and Clause Drafting

We help clients build arbitration readiness into their contracts from the outset, drafting enforceable arbitration clauses structured to international standards, advising on seat selection, choice of rules, and governing law to protect clients before any dispute arises.

Our Services Include

Our arbitration practice covers domestic and international disputes across the full range of commercial sectors. We act as counsel in arbitrations governed by institutional and ad hoc rules, including ICC, LCIA, ICSID, and UNCITRAL, and have handled disputes in oil storage and transportation, cross-border M&A, transport agreements, construction, and infrastructure. We have defended a claim in excess of Kshs. 300 Million for a state entity in the oil sector, acted as counsel in an international M&A arbitration involving a claim exceeding US Dollars 30 Million across Kenya, Tanzania, and Burundi, and represented clients in transport agreement disputes exceeding Kshs. 500 Million. We also advise on arbitration clause drafting, seat selection, enforcement of awards, and interim relief, providing end-to-end arbitration support from contract to conclusion.

Why Businesses Trust Us

We are trusted in arbitration because we bring a rare combination of qualities: the strategic instincts of seasoned litigators, the technical command of a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and direct sector knowledge in the industries where the highest-value disputes arise. Our Principal Partner's experience as both sole arbitrator and counsel means we understand the process from both sides of the tribunal, giving our clients a structural advantage in how they present their cases and respond to their opponents. The confidential nature of arbitration means many of our most significant matters cannot be named, but the scale of what we have handled, across millions in domestic currency and US dollars, speaks to the trust placed in us by state entities, multinational companies, and private investors.
